A laughter-filled vintage diner engagement session with Talia + Elliot

From time to time, my couples casually mention incredible ideas almost in passing, like: “hey, we have a kind of weird idea, but it’s just an idea - we’re not super committed to it.” That’s how doing an engagement session in a vintage diner complete with breakfast food and milkshakes came up with Talia + Elliot. Just an off hand idea. Maybe we could find a cute diner and make it look like scenes from a classic sitcom?

After all these years of photographing couples and shooting in many of the same locations multiple times a year, I always jump at these kind of out there suggestions. I never know exactly how they’ll go, but I kind of love that. And I figure whenever couples have ideas that feel very them - let’s run with it. Because these sessions always have so much heart and character. And that was very true on this winter afternoon with Talia + Elliot.

Did we cause a scene in a diner? Yeah a little. But are they adorable? They’re the cutest.
