Sarah + Joel // a Barn at Edgewood wedding in the fall

I always avoid picking favorites from my weddings, but Sarah + Joel’s fall wedding at The Barn at Edgewood was really one of the best. It’s a pleasure whenever I get to photograph the celebrations of good friends, and I love these two a lot. Their design choices - from Sarah’s jewel-toned bridesmaids’ dresses to the hand-painted tiny animal name tags and the gold accents throughout the reception - were all beautiful, but what made this day so special was the intense, joyful energy these two radiate for one other and all of their friends + fam.

One of my favorite moments was their first dance, set to a cover of Chateau Lobby #4 by Father John Misty performed by two high school friends. I’m 99% sure I’ll never see another first dance to that song ever again. And it was so perfectly Sarah + Joel.

It was just an incredibly fun celebration. Everyone was laughing. Sarah was dancing all day long. And that gorgeous sunset over the Blue Ridge Mountains through the November fall colors.

Did I mention that they ended the party with a late night Taco Bell delivery? The last two photos may be my favorite end to a gallery ever.

So thankful that I was able to be a part of this wedding.
